PRODUCT DETAILS Walt Disney Classics Collection Title: MAIN STREET ELECTRICAL PARADE Backstamp (Year of Release): 1998 Status: Retired ize: 7-1/2″Item Number: 11K-41290-0 (Old)/1028751 (Current)Plussing:Sculpture Lights: Battery powered.Paint Trim: Gold paint highlights all details.Flag-pole: Metal.Material: Clear resin mold, hand painted with areas undone for lights to shine through.Production Changes: None.Particulars:Main Street Electrical Parade was released as part of the Enchanted Places. The Enchanted Places were backgrounds, settings, ornaments, accessories and/or miniatures.Sculpture comes with a wood base with engraved brass nameplate. WALT DISNEY CLASSICS FIGURINESThe Classics Collection started in 1992 with three scenes, Bambi, Cinderella, and Fantasia’s Sorcerer Apprentice. Many other series have since been introduced. Some figurines are limited, and some have been retired. Some of these figurines have risen high on the secondary market. The figurines are made of porcelain, and the process is similar to that use to make Hummel figurines. Individual pieces are molded, put together, and fired in an oven. Then they are painted and fired again. Each figurine is marked on the bottom, signifying the year it was produced. The marks represent significant milestones in Disney history. The figurines with the first year mark are usually the most desirable. COLLECTORS’ SOCIETYIn January 1993, Disney introduced the Walt Disney Collectors Society.
